About This Product
Omeprazole 20mg Delayed-Release Capsules are a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that works by reducing the amount of acid the stomach produces. Unlike antacids that neutralize acid after it has been produced, omeprazole blocks acid production at the source.
For Frequent Heartburn
For adults who have heartburn 2 or more days per week. Not intended for occasional or immediate heartburn relief.

Inactive Ingredients
Dibasic sodium phosphate anhydrous, gelatin, hypromellose, magnesium hydroxide, mannitol, methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion, microcrystalline cellulose, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium starch glycolate, sugar spheres, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate.
Directions
- Adults 18 years and over: Swallow 1 capsule with a glass of water before eating in the morning.
- Take every day for 14 days.
- You may repeat a 14-day course every 4 months.
- Do not take for more than 14 days or more often than every 4 months unless directed by a doctor.
- Do not crush or chew capsules. May open capsule and sprinkle on 1 tablespoon of applesauce if needed.
- Children under 18: Ask a doctor before use.
Warnings
- Ask a doctor before use if you have had heartburn for over 3 months, frequent chest pain, heartburn with lightheadedness, sweating or dizziness, liver disease, or you take clopidogrel, methotrexate, atazanavir, or nelfinavir.
- Stop use and ask a doctor if heartburn continues or worsens, if you need to take this product for more than 14 days, or if you need to take this more than once every 4 months.
- Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD): Long-term use of PPIs may increase risk. Contact your doctor if diarrhea persists.
- Bone fracture warning: Prolonged use may increase risk of bone fractures.
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, ask a health professional before use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
